conclusion:

in the city  intermediate semiprivate spaces are highly appreciated 

do not use chains,

impenetrable green belts or walls 

that stand between the house and the street or the park

private yards without contact with the street

private yards fence  up to the roadway

  - opulence of  shrubs, trees, pots

have anything inviting even schmall in front of the building
